The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is looking for views on the future of the Sulby Claddagh.
Local authority and government officials have been discussing how to improve the beauty spot, and have concerns over the greater number of campers, particularly those who stay long-term.
DAFF's made a number of changes to the area's byelaws over recent years, including banning fires and barbecues, but has yet to decide how to take things forward.
The options for public consideration are to convert the Claddagh into a fully-registered camp site, stop or reduce the level of camping, or return the site to meadowland.
The department will also consider alternative ideas from members of the public.
More information on the consultation is available from the Forestry Division on 801263, or DAFF's page at gov.im
The closing date for submissions is Monday, June 9.
