Bishop consecrated at York Minster

The Reverend Canon Robert Paterson has been consecrated as the new Bishop of Sodor and Man.

He succeeds Graeme Knowles who left the Island last autumn, to take up the position of Dean of St Paul's Cathedral in London.

The Archdeacon, the Venerable Brian Smith, has been carrying out many of the Bishop’s duties over the past six months and attended today's service at York Minster.

He believes Bishop Robert will bring many qualities to the Island (audio file attached):
