DTI training course

by isleofman.com 25th April 2008
The Department of Trade and Industry has announced a new training scheme for school leavers who face the prospect of unemployment.

The DTI says it will team up with training provider TLC Business Solutions to provide an intensive 5-day course, as well as a work placement.

As well as interview and letter-writing skills, the course will teach CV preparation, and more work-based requirements such as customer care, telephone techniques, basic business writing and how to use office equipment.

Initially, the pilot programme has 14 places which were filled within 4 days, showing a high demand for such an initiative.
