The 116th Manx Music Festival gets under way at the Villa Marina on Saturday morning.

Over the next seven days more than 2,000 competitors will contest 156 classes, climaxing with the Cleveland Medal Test, in the Royal Hall next Saturday evening.

Festival Chairman and multiple Cleveland Medal winner Allan Wilcocks says the 'Guild' has a great tradition (audio file attached):

Judith Ley will be presenting regular reports on the festival on Manx Radio, during the coming week. They will include a daily slot on Mandate, each weekday morning, at 7.55am.
