Former Douglas councillor and Mayor Alfred Duggan has passed away at the age of 95.
Mr Duggan was a councillor for 17 years and continued to take a keen interest in the affairs of the town.
In December, he was made a Freemen of the Borough of Douglas.
During his mayoral year, he attended 787 functions.
Speaking a few months ago, he told Manx Radio he looked back at the period with fondness (audio file attached):
