Union spokesman on prison concerns

The Negotiations Officer for the Union Prospect says Prison Officers aren't ready to move to the new prison in Jurby.

Prison workers in the Isle of Man are poised to take action over a number of concerns regarding the move to the new facility, including rostering arrangements and compensation for the increased cost and time for travel.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Prison Officers' Association in the Island Brian Cain says a difficulty has been the lack of flexibility to allow staff to become familiar with their new workplace (audio file attached):
