Big increase in gas prices from today

by isleofman.com 1st May 2008
Domestic Manx Gas customers face a hike in their energy costs today as the company brings in a 14 per cent price hike.

The rise, announced last month, means all natural gas tariffs will go up by 0.73p per unit.

Volatile energy markets and high wholesale costs have been blamed for the increase, but Manx Gas says prices are still lower than at the beginning of last year.

LPG customers are unaffected.

Anybody worried about paying their bills can contact Manx Gas for advice.
