Thanks to Island from Alder Hey

by isleofman.com 1st May 2008
A manager from one of the largest and busiest children's hospitals in Europe is thanking the Isle of Man for its support.

Alder Hey treats around 200,000 children every year, around 300 of them from the Island.

Irene Axon says businesses, families and young people from the Island have provided the hospital with much needed funds which allows it to carry out specialised and often lifesaving treatments.

Alder Hey is part of the NHS, but the donations they receive make a huge difference (audio file attached):

Irene Axon was speaking to Dan Davies on Talking Heads.
