Island residents will have the chance to experience aspects of medieval monastic life, at a family event on Sunday.
Rushen Abbey will be the venue for 'Herbs, Habits and Horticulture', arranged by Manx National Heritage.
Activities will take place all over the site, including the gardens and areas of excavation, and will include demonstrations of herbal remedies, medieval toothpaste and willow weaving.
Among other things visitors will be able to make tussie mussies, the little bouquets of herbs and flowers which women carried arond with them to ward off unpleasant smells.
The events runs from 10am to 4.30pm.
