Cleveland Medal Test

by isleofman.com 3rd May 2008
The stage is set for the climax of the 116th Manx Music Festival.

The Cleveland Medal Test will take place in the Royal Hall at the Villa Marina, with the programme due to start at 7pm tomorrow.

As usual it will be contested by the winners of the six special solo classes, all of whom feature in this compilation, put together by our 'Guild' correspondent Judith Ley (audio file attached):

In order, that recording featured Terry Qualtrough (Bass), Mandy Griffin (Mezzo-Soprano), Graham Crowe (Baritone), Jane Corkill (Soprano), Ernie Thorn (Tenor) and Jane Mayne (Contralto).

Four of those six are past winners, and Jane Corkill and Jane Mayne are previous finalists.

The Cleveland Medal Test will be adjudicated by Dame Anne Murray, the celebrated Mezzo-Soprano.
