The Manx Music Festival is nearing its conclusion – last night saw the Sheffield Plate won by Emily Coates.
She was awarded the prize for the best young voice in this year’s Guild, beating off competition from eight others at the Villa Marina’s Royal Hall.
Emily earned her place in the final by wining the solo voice class for girls aged between 14 and 16, the upper age limit for the competition.
