Help for charities with administration

Ticking all the boxes on health-and-safety issues can be a daunting task for established firms.

But what about the Island's many voluntary organisations which run hundreds of public fund raising events every year?

The fact is that voluntary sector and charities have the SAME responsibilites in health and safety as anyone else.

Fears over the cost and extra work involved are being addressed in a special seminar later this month, aimed at voluntary groups.

David Gawne speaks for the Isle of Man Council of Voluntary Organisations.

He understands many groups will be put-off by the thought of red-tape (audio file attached):
