Farquhar considers Future

by isleofman.com 8th May 2008
It's being reported Ryan Farquhar is considering his racing future following the death of close friend Martin Finnegan.

He witnessed the crash in which Finnegan suffered fatal injuries at the Tandragee100 races.

Farquhar admits he's not sure how he will react when he gets back on a bike, with practice for the North West 200 meeting less than a week away.

He's quoted by BBC Northern Ireland as saying "This could possibly be my last year in road racing. I'm not saying it will be, but it is possible. It could just as easily have been me that was killed on Saturday and I know it's not fair on my wife and child, but it's like a drug and I love the sport."

The two-time T.T. winner has yet to win an international Superbike race and admits if he did win one, it would influence his decision about retiring.
