Viking longboats in Peel

by isleofman.com 10th May 2008
Members of the public are being encouraged tomorrow (Sat) to get in their longboats and travel to Peel to get a taste of how the Vikings lived.

The event, which runs from noon till 5pm will see the Peel campsite transformed into a genuine Nordic encampment.

There will be a demonstration of the daily routine of a Viking housewife, combat training and a simulated attack on the 'village'.
