Cav off pace in Giro

by isleofman.com 12th May 2008
Mark Cavendish found it hard going on a climb-laden Stage Two of the Giro d'Italia yesterday, finishing over 11 and a half minutes behind winner Riccardo Ricco.

The Manx rider came home in a pack which included his High Road team mate Bradley Wiggins.

They're also equal in the overall standings following the 207km stage from Cefalu to Agrigento in Sicily.

But there's no time to rest as the tour continues today with the 208km Catania to Milazzo stage.
