St Georges and Corinthians through

by isleofman.com 12th May 2008
It'll be Corinthians against St George's in this year's Hospital Cup final, following the Douglas sides' victories in yesterday's semis.

Geordies beat Old Boys 2-1 thanks to a Chris Bass Junior double.

He gave his side the lead, Old Boys replied through Sean Gavin then Bass got what proved to be the winner.

Corinthians produced a strong first half display, racing into a 3-0 lead, the goals coming from Jamie Stoy, Kevin Hardinge and Stevie Glover.

Aaron Hawley pulled one back for the Spaniards just before half time and Jack Saxon scored a superb free kick in the second period.

Cue Rushen throwing the kitcken sink at Corinthians in search of an equaliser, but the Noble's Park side held on to progress to the final.

It'll be played on Sunday, May 25th.
