The department of transport says the Mountain Road will be actively policed 24 hours a day, while it is one-way during TT fortnight.
Particular hazard points such as Ramsey Hairpin, which the start of the one-way system, Waterworks, the Bungalow, Keppel Gate and Creg ny Baa will be coned off and signed.
Extra efforts will be made to get race marshals to and from their stations.
On practice evenings the road will close at 5pm to allow time to get the cones and furniture clear, and it will close at 10.45am for the first race on Saturday, June 1.
On all other days the Mountain Road will close at 9.30am and re-open once the cones have been replaced.
Temporary parking restrictions will be brought in on the eastern coast road while the one-way system on the mountain is in operation.
