Maughold man picks up Chinese quake

A Manx scientist has recorded the extraordinary sound of the massive earthquake that has devastated part of Sichuan province in China.

With help from the Department of Trade and Industry, Maughold resident Dr Mark Noel has put together sophisticated equipment that in constantly on the lookout for such tremors.

This is what he heard when he checked his equipment today:
