Plans afoot for royal visit

Preparations have already begun for the visit of the Princess Royal to the Isle of Man on Tynwald Day.

Detailed behind-the-scenes security planning has to take place well in advance of a royal visit - with less than two months to go until the arrival of Princess Anne (pictured on her last visit).

The President of Tynwald Noel Cringle says the Island has had some experience in handling VIP guests in recent years:
