Chief Minister answers on EuroManx

Failed airline Euromanx was in trouble as long ago as last October, according to Chief Minister Tony Brown.

In the House of Keys this morning, he revealed the government had met the company last year to discuss the firm’s future.

But he said the collapse of Euromanx had been a complete surprise and the company had owed the government ?1.16 million.

And Mr Brown said the company had acted deliberately to avoid paying its debts:
