Osborn inquest

A 20 year old Ramsey man died from serious head injuries after an incident at Turkeylands Quarry earlier this month.

The body of plant operator Benjamin Osborne was discovered underneath a large dump truck with one of its wheels on his head.

Police were called to the site at 4.27pm on May 1st and have since launched a full investigation.

The Health and Safety Inspectorate is also looking into the matter.

Coroner Michael Moyle extended his sincere condolences to the family.

He said he didn't know how families could cope with such a shock.

He adjourned the hearing to a date to be fixed.
