An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of an 18 year-old Douglas man.
Michael Kelly was killed in an accident at Hillberry on the Mountain Road shortly before midnight on May 3.
A post mortem confirmed the Isle of Man College student died from massive blunt force trauma to his lower face and neck, as well as other serious back and neck injuries.
He had been a rear seat passenger in a car.
His body has not yet been released as investigations into the incident continue.
