Prison Officers reject mileage offer

The row between the Government and prison officers over payments for travelling to and from the new Jurby jail looks set to harden.

It could mean a delay in populating the new prison.

The Union, Prospect, says a ballot of prison officers over the mileage claims 'have shown a firm rejection of the current offer by staff'.
