Redundancies likely at Flight Support

by isleofman.com 15th May 2008
It's been confirmed that redundancies at the airport ground handling agent Flight Support are very likely.

It's been reported up to 20 staff could lose their jobs in the wake of the collapse of EuroManx nearly a week ago. However, there has been no official confirmation of that figure.

A statement from Airbase Flight Support confirms the company is being restructured at both Liverpool and the Isle of Man.

It says some redundancies are likely and consultations are being held with staff.

The statement goes on to say that Airbase Flight Support is still very much a growing company in the Isle of Man and the UK, and it hopes in the future to be able to offer jobs back to those staff who may have to be made redundant.

It concludes by saying the company has other big contracts which will keep it in a strong position once staffing levels are adjusted.
