NW200 will go ahead

Tomorrow's racing in the North West 200 WILL go ahead, after the death during practice last night of road racing legend Robert Dunlop (pictured).

The decision has been made with the full support of Robert's widow Louise and his three sons.

Early indications suggest machine failure may have caused the crash, which left the rider with severe chest injuries.

All paddock and hospitality events planned for today have been cancelled.

Clerk of the Northern Ireland course Mervyn White says their decision to go ahead with the meeting this weekend was made after lenghty discussion with Robert's family:
