Man admits Post Office theft

by isleofman.com 16th May 2008
A 53 year-old man has been warned prison is a possibility after pleading guilty to stealing almost ?2,000 from Isle of Man Post.

Michael Edward Campbell, of Glen Chass, Port St Mary admitted taking a total of ?1,897 during last October and November, while working as Postmaster in Bride.

The court heard he 'borrowed' the cash because he was short at the time, and had intended to pay it back.

His advocate said all the money had now been paid back.

High Bailiff Michael Moyle adjourned the case for reports and bailed Campbell until June 10.
