Competition hots up for Sam

The dream of West End stardom for Laxey singer Samantha Barks is still alive - for this weekend at least!

Samantha (pictured) is among the five remaining contestants who will be singing for survival in Saturday night's 'I'd Do Anything', in front of millions of TV viewers.

Bookmakers William Hill have Sam as second favourite to win the show, and the part of Nancy in a new production of Oliver. Jessie is the current favourite.

The Island seems to be behind Sam all the way, as we found out from these shoppers:
