Govt-run airline 'not the answer'

The loss of EuroManx services to London City could become a problem for the Island's business sector - but a government-run airline is not the answer.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell has been speaking in the wake of the collapse of EuroManx.

He's confident other airlines will fill the gaps, particularly to Manchester and Liverpool.

Mr Bell has pledged ongoing efforts to find an operator to replace EuroManx on the London route.

But rejecting calls for an end to 'open skies' policy, Mr Bell says Government intervention is not the answer (audio file attached):
