DoT workers to receive TT advice

Department of Transport workers will be made fully aware of their insurance cover ahead of the TT, following a request for clarification on the matter from the Whitley Council.

Secretary for the Employees' Side Bernard Moffatt says they were concerned that workers, as has happened in the past, were being asked to do jobs outside their remit, which meant they weren't covered.

A letter will now be sent to department staff working on the TT which outlines exactly what they can and can't do.

Mr Moffatt says the Council was motivated to approach the DoT following Coroner of Inquests Michael Moyle's damning 26th Milestone verdict (audio file attached):
