Conister Rock incident

by isleofman.com 19th May 2008
Douglas coastguard staff are reminding members of the public to take care in tidal waters after reports that a group of youngsters on the Tower of Refuge were cut off.

It is the second such incident in a fortnight.

In this instance the group made their way ashore unaided.

The incident happened last night (Sun) and people are reminded that if they see any emergency situation at sea or on the cliffs around the Island, they should ring 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
