Douglas school celebrates centenary

Ballacloan infant's school is celebrating its centenary this week, with a series of events.

The building, in Demesne Road, has been open to the public twice already this week and will be again on Thursday afternoon, when they will be able to view an exhibition of memorabilia.

The displays feature artefacts and photographs, many of which have been contributed by former scholars.

Head teacher Jill Gill says it's capturing the imagination of young and old alike (audio file attached):

The centenary exhibition is open to the public will be open between 1.30 and 5pm on Thursday.
