Jetski safety advice

Jetski users are being reminded to enjoy their hobby responsibly as the sunny weather creates perfect conditions for days in the water.

The Department of Transport’s Harbours Division says all machines must be registered and jetskiers should familiarise themselves with safety rules.

Director of Harbours Captain Mike Brew says the idea is to keep the machines separated from swimmers.

He says the dangers are obvious:
