What is believed to be a record amount of amphetamine has been seized by officers from the Drug Trafficking Unit.
A man and a woman were arrested after the controlled drugs were seized yesterday afternoon (Tues).
Detective Inspector Kevin Willson says the drugs, believed to be amphetamine, have an approximate street value of ?6,000. They were recovered in an operation which centred on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate and an address in Governors Hill, Douglas.
A local man and a woman have been arrested and will be interviewed in due course.
It is believed that the quantity involved represents the largest single seizure of amphetamine ever made on the Island.
