There is still no word on the total number of bookings affected by the collapse of Euromanx.
In Tynwald, North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson asked a question for written answer about the impact on the travelling public.
In response, Transport Minister David Anderson said Manx2 and Flybe, which have been trying to help passengers, are dealing with around 21,000 people.
But he said it was still early days to find out exact figures.
Ben Sowrey reports (text, below, from attached audio file):
Mr Anderson said 1,000 people booked on the Euromanx Belfast route had contacted Manx2 within four days of the airline’s failure.
A further 20,000 people had got in touch with Flybe, and the majority of those had now re-booked flights.
He added many had chosen to get a refund on their credit cards rather than swap flights.
He told Tynwald it was difficult to estimate the total number of passenger involved, but those figures should be clearer at the end of this week.
