No truth in Sunday Times article - OFT

The Office of Fair Trading says reports in the Sunday Times that the Island’s a hotbed of internet fraudsters couldn’t be further from the truth.

In an article at the weekend, the paper said 'strange locations' such as the Isle of Man and Channel Islands are favourite places for eBay con artists.

It warned against doing business with people in both locations, and said it can be difficult to track people down here.

But the OFT’s chief officer Nick Black says in reality it’s Island residents who are being ripped off by UK fraudsters:
