Manx Radio makes UK news

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2008
Manx Radio found itself at the centre of a political row in the UK yesterday after the Conservative party sent the details of more than 8,000 voters in Crewe and Nantwich to the station by mistake.

The email containing three files was sent yesterday afternoon and the party says it has launched an investigation into why the personal details were sent.

The information included names, addresses and telephone numbers as well as the polling stations each person would attend to vote in today’s by-election in the constituency.

The story featured in UK national news and media reports.
