The Office of Fair Trading is satisfied consumers in the Isle of Man aren't being ripped-off when it comes to fuel and oil prices in the Isle of Man.
OFT Chairman Quintin Gill says they remain within the acceptable price differential between the Island and the United Kingdom.
His written response to a Tynwald question from Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen shows comparisons for petrol, and diesel and central heating oil.
Mr Gill says the last time prices were compared the average differences for unleaded petrol and diesel were 2.8 and 1.9 pence per litre, which fell within the boundaries set by last year's price investigation report.
The OFT is aware certain independent filling stations may charge differently to supplier suggestions, but Mr Gill says they are free to do so.
When last checked, central heating oil was 6.05 pence per litre more expensive here, which compares favourably with the figures for 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Mr Gill concludes by saying the OFT remains committed to ensuring the Isle of Man isn't taken advantage of in 'these times of increasing prices'.
