Steal a sign - go to jail

Police say they’ll keep prosecuting people who steal safety signs form the TT course – and are warning the courts will view the thefts very seriously.

Yesterday, High Bailiff Michael Moyle told two teenagers they were very lucky not to be going to jail after admitting stealing three signs on Wednesday night.

He said the next people to appear before him should know they would receive prison sentences for interfering with the prohibited area notices.

Sergeant Steve Maddocks says people would have to be very foolish to ignore the warning:
