Isle of Man Post says it will do its best to deliver mail as quickly as possible over the TT fortnight, but is asking local residents to be patient.

In a statement, the Post Office says increased traffic and road closures may mean a delay of one day to some deliveries, and delivery times may vary.

On non-race days, mail may still arrive late as staff try to deal with a backlog of deliveries.

Post Offices on the course itself will also be closed on race days.

Isle of Man Post says anybody wishing to collect their mail from their local sorting office can do so, but only by prior arrangement.

The sorting office phone numbers can be found in the telephone book.

In its statement, there’s an appeal to watch out for the Island’s postmen during the fortnight.

They will be wearing high-visibility jackets to make deliveries during the festival, and drivers have been asked to take care around them.
