Last week Tynwald approved the plan by the Department of Agriculture to acquire Bradda Glen, the cafe and headlands for the nation.
Presently owned by Port Erin Commissioners, it's expected that it will be transferred for a nominal sum - and it's then up to DAFF to decide on which proposals from a CoMin Working Group they're going to adopt.
Various options are being considered - including a themed cafe as a centre for marine tourism, or even a return to the wooden holiday chalets that were popular on the site in years gone by.
