Douglas police are investigating a spate of forged Bank of England banknotes.

The notes have been used in Public Houses around Douglas and Onchan in the last couple of days.

Police are asking all establishments that deal with cash to be vigilant in checking all Bank of England Notes coming through their tills, and to use the appropriate ultraviolet pens/lights that should reveal any problem notes.

If anybody should locate or accept any of these notes, please contact Douglas Police Headquarters on 631212
