When asked in an interview at the Hay Festival in Wales what was the fastest he had travelled on public roads, he replied "186 miles an hour", between Limehouse link tunnel in Central London and Docklands, allegedly in a Bugatti Veyron, the world's fastest road legal supercar.
Road Safety Campaigners have called for him to be sacked.
