Record year for Queenies

by isleofman.com 30th May 2008
2007 was a record year for Queenie fishing - and income from the tourism industry has more than doubled over the past ten years.

Two fascinating snapshots of life in the Island, from a huge digest of economic and social statistics, which is published this morning.

The 2008 digest presents the most comprehensive and up-to-date overview of how the Island's economy is developing.

It also tracks key trends in areas from health and population to education and employment.

Marian Kenny reports: (audio attached)

Copies of the digest can be bought from the Tynwald Library in Douglas.
