Broken ankle delayed practice session

by isleofman.com 30th May 2008
The mystery surrounding the delayed start to yesterday evening's TT practice session appears to have been solved.

Manx Radio has been told a member of the public fell and broke an ankle.

A doctor felt the man should go to hospital as he had suffered shock.

He was air-lifted by helicopter, from Ballaugh, and race organisers had to wait until the aircraft became available again, before practising could get under way.
