Karran renews calls for 'organic Island'

An Onchan MHK wants to see more vision when it comes to safeguarding the Isle of Man's agricultural industry.

Peter Karran suggested it could become the first fully organic Island in the world, in the House of Keys on Tuesday.

Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne told him it would cost in the region of ?21 million, and there would be a greater demand for labour which may not be available in the current climate.

But Mr Karran (pictured) is adamant government needs to do something:
