Most Manx Telecom mobile phones on the Isle of Man should be working again, after big problems with the network throughout the afternoon.
The company says major sites are now back in service (6pm), and the smaller ones will be restored in a controlled manner.
Thousands of users were unable to make or take calls and texts, but Manx Telecom says the incident is now closed.
A further statement is expected later.
