Stage set for Superbikes and Sidecars

The waiting is over for TT competitors and thousands of biking fans in the Island, with the first race of 2008 due to begin at midday tomorrow.

The six lap Superbike race will be followed by the Sidecar A event, over three laps.

The big question is can Guy Martin or anyone else, take the title 'King of the Mountain' from the hero of the Centenary TT, John McGuinness?

And can anyone match his 130 miles per hour lap of the circuit?

Manx Radio TT's Chris Kinley says competition is fierce, not least because of the very high quality of newcomers in recent years:
