IoM coverage to be with Granada?

There are signs coverage of the Isle of Man may be in the hands of Granada TV when Border is merged with Tyne-Tees.

The loss of Manx news, currently provided by Border, has been met with dismay on the Island and an inquiry into the planned merger is now underway by the regulator OFCOM.

The Island would almost certainly receive less coverage from either Tyne-Tees or Granada - but being allied with the North-West of England is seen as preferable.

The latest ITV proposals also favour that as an option.
