Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the Mountain Road yesterday (Sun) in which two bikers received serious injuries.
It happened around 11.35am not far from the Mountain Box and involved two bikes.
Inspector Richard Power says there were a number of cars and bikes around at the time and anyone who saw the incident or has any information regarding it is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit at police headquarters on 631 212.
Officers are also appealing for information on an incident which happened shortly before 9pm on Sunday (1st June)
A 2 vehicle accident occurred on Peel Road, Union Mills at its Junction with Snugborough Avenue.
A black coloured Suzuki motorcycle being ridden by a man from Northern Ireland was travelling towards Douglas when it collided with a red coloured BMW motor car being driven by a man from Douglas which was travelling in the opposite direction and manoeuvring into Snugborough Avenue.
The rider of the motorcycle was taken to Nobles Hospital with serious leg injuries. The occupants of the car were uninjured.
The roadway was closed for several hours whilst enquiries were conducted at the scene.
