Island prepares for royal visit

With just over a month to go before the Princess Royal visits the Isle of Man for Tynwald Day, security preparations are well under way.

As the Queen's representative, Princes Anne will preside on Tynwald Hill on July 7, and she will also officially open the Island's new hospice.

Police and government officials here are liaising with their UK counterparts on security measures.

Home Affairs Minister Martyn Quayle says the Island has some experience of coping with royal visits (audio file attached):
